The objective of the club is to provide facilities for and promote participation of the whole community in the sport of football.
Gomersal & Cleckheaton FC was formed in 1977 with the same aims as we currently have: providing a safe and fun place for boys and girls from the local area to play football. Today there are over 250 playing members in around 25 teams from under 6’s to under 18’s.
Our ethos at the club is to ensure we provide a safe and fun environment for all children to continue developing their football skills and team development throughout their Gomersal & Cleckheaton life.
We are affiliated to the Football Association and are a Charter Standard Club. In order to maintain that important accreditation we help to support the volunteer managers and coaches with FA qualifications, DBS verification and first aid training. That accreditation gives parents, guardians and supporters the confidence that the children are playing and developing in a safe and well-run environment.
We ask our local community to do what they can to help, support and encourage the players and the volunteers who give up their free time to make all this possible as without them we would not have a club. Any donations made will help to sustain Gomersal & Cleckheaton FC as a purely non-profit organization to provide junior football opportunities to local children.
The Club will abide by the Football Association's Child Protection Policies and Procedures, Codes of Conduct and the Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Policy in the furtherance of its objective.
