Some years ago, GCFC partnered up with Birkenshaw Blue Dogs as part of a charity called the East Bierley Community Sports Association, whose aim is to provide great facilities for local players and clubs at a facility in the centre of East Bierley.

After a significant effort from our partners and committee over many years, EBCSA was successful in being awarded a grant by the Premier League the FA, and the government's Football Foundation to build a new 3G pitch at the site.

This investment of £1.2 million will make a massive difference to all our players, providing all-weather facilities, reducing our reliance on grass pitches, and the impact our fantastic seasonal weather has on them.

Work has already started and we hope to see this new facility up and running before Christmas. Lots to do before then so watch this space.

As a club, we rely 100% on volunteers, and at the moment there is lots to do. So don't be shy and raise a hand if you would like to help in the future success of GCFC and all the players it supports.
